The food you delivered to the villa was absolutely gorgeous! All of us commented on how the lasagne was the best we had ever had and the cheesecake went down a treat! I stuck to the sticky toffee pudding and loved it.

Your service was also immaculate and if I am ever back in Marbella, I would come to you again in an instant! (I will recommend you to anyone I know who goes out there).

Thanks for all your help, you made our first night at the villa hassle free and utterly enjoyable!

Last night saw the opening party at Suite del Mar, at Hotel Puente Romano. A tower of 80 of our Red Velvet cupcakes served as a centrepiece amongst the lush and funky surroundings . With a guest list that has included Prince Harry, Jodie Kidd and Jay Kay, Suite did it again with Marbella’s party people wining, dining and dancing the night away, seeing in the Summer 2009 season in typically chic but laid back style. Now I remember why I live out here!

We have just got back from the serene Amanhavis Hotel in Benahavis, where we have set up a tower of vanilla cupcakes for Richard and Nina, over from Abu Dhabi. Married yesterday, they are having a blessing and dinner at Amanhavis this evening.

These choccie cupcakes didn’t hang around long this morning as a classroom full of cheeky 6 year-olds descended on a birthday box of 24. Happy Birthday Louie, Sonny and Leo!

This evening is the official opening of the new ‘La Traviesa’ Cafe in Benahavis (a fitting occasion for some nicely branded Red Velvet cupcakes). Chris and Pedro will be selling a selection of our cakes in what is a fusion of cafe, bar and gallery for furniture and artwork made by Pedro – well worth a visit when you are next in the village.

We at ‘Cake’ have a very stringent testing process, as you can imagine. Testing began on our new Banana & Chocolate cupcakes this afternoon, and our junior team leader, Dylan, said “They’re the best cupcakes we have ever made”. This is obviously very positive feedback, but the ‘grown-ups’ are still marvelling at his use of the ‘Royal We’!

Anyway, as you can see, they didn’t hang around long. That’s usually a good sign!

I have literally just finished the second of these Lemon Cupcakes… and I may have to pace myself. If I were a gambling man, I would put 20Euros on my having a third with a cup of tea in approximately half an hour. All in the name of product testing and development, of course.
